We're a small, close-knit team who genuinely love what we do. Between us we've got decades of experience working on everything from everyday runarounds to classic restorations ~ but what really drives us is getting you back on the road with a smile. No fuss, no jargon, just honest work done properly.
Andrew shepperd
DIRECTOR
Andrew took over managing Colyton Garage in 2023 after years in the industry. there aren't many problems he hasn't seen or solved.
He's the reason so many customers have been coming back for years, and why so many more arrive on a neighbour's recommendation.
He was trained by Tim, and worked with his father Jerry at Colyton Garage for years before taking the helm.
TIM AMBROSE
SERVICE MANAGER
Tim is usually the first voice you hear when you call and the first face you see when you arrive.
He keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes and has an answer for pretty much every question before you've even finished asking it.
Tim is the glue that holds the garage team together having trained nearly all of them. Uniquely, he is now working with two of his previous apprentices and he's very proud of it.

TONY HUTCHINGS
FOREMAN
Tony has been at Colyton Garage for since he was 16, and is the person most likely to have his head under your bonnet. Meticulous, methodical, and brilliant. He always take the time to explain what he's found in plain English.
He's great at working out what's wrong and how to fix it. He's often looking after our older vehicles and the classic cars and is an exceptionally valued member of our team.
jamie TAiTE
TECHNICIAN
Jamie joined Colyton Garage in 2025 after many years working with Tim at various garages locally. Like Andrew he was Tim's apprentice years ago.
Jamie brings energy, skill and a great attitude to everything he takes on. Whether it's a routine service, a tricky repair, or something a bit out of the ordinary, you'll find him getting stuck in with a smile.
